In the present study we aim to describe the geographic disparities in paediatric RRT treatment rates across Europe and to determine whether this variation arises from country differences in the genetic susceptibility to certain renal diseases (e.g. Finnish-type nephropathy in Finland), and to what extent non-medical country-level factors affect access to care.
